The Secret Self

The Calculation

The Secret Self is derived by finding the sum of the number values of all the consonants in each name, reducing this sum to a single digit or master number, then adding the sums of all the names together and reducing that total to a single digit or master number.

The Secret Self (or sometimes called the Hidden Self, or Personality, or Quiescent or Quiet Self, or Latent Self) describes the part of the self that is the planner, builder, dreamer.  It is usually not expressed to friends or family, and in many cases it is not even evident or consciously realized by the self.  These are the secret inner dreams of the self, many times brought to the surface in daydreams.

There are only a few instances where the Secret Self has a chance of being related to reality.  That is if the Secret Self and a core element are the same number.  In this case, the dreamer self has a chance of harmonizing the dream with the real world.

Example:  JANE DENISE CLARINS (fictitious name)

The following table is necessary for manually calculating numerology elements.  As you can see, the value of "A"=1 as it falls under the number 1.  E=5, I=9, etc.  Numerology programs calculate names in seconds.  It's beautiful, especially after manually calculating entire charts for years. Analysis of Jane's Secret Self

Well, if you've read some of Jane's other core numbers in my analysis of her Life Path, Soul Urge, or Expression, you would have seen what core energies are dominating her life.  In this case her Secret Self is 1 and this indicates someone who longs for leadership and individuality.  Her quiet self subconsciously awaits her opportunity to be in a role that would exercise her desire for independence.  If you look at her Soul Urge number 8, you will see it won't be long before Jane will find an outlet for this part of herself that lays uncultivated.
